JUBILEE OUTREACH MINISTRIES

"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him. Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth,"

1 John 3:17-18

Jubilee Outreach Committee - In 2002 Prince of Peace was recognized by the National Church as a Jubilee Center, which is a congregation that is engaged in ministry and mission among the poor and oppressed. The Jubilee Committee coordinates the many ministries that Prince of Peace is engaged in that benefit the community.

Mission Statement

To call the church to live out its prophetic role of empowering our community to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. We respond to the Gospel’s call to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, and care for the needy.

We are a gospel community that reaches out into the world with God's love. Our identity as Christians is realized through the way in which we live the message we believe. As we participate in God's mission in the community around us, we act as the hands, feet and heart of Christ in the broken world. We are always discerning ways to give generously from our abundance and to share the riches of God's blessing. At Prince of Peace we live out the love of Christ through a variety of ministries. Hopefully one of these ways will match your gifts and skills.

If you are interested in finding out more about the ministry opportunities here at Prince of Peace, please contact the person in charge of the ministry or a member of the vestry.
